Performer RPM camshafts are part of the Edelbrock power package.  The Performer RPM package is designed for street high performance applications in the 1500-6500 rpm range and will dramatically increase performance over stock engines.  These cams provide significant power increases over stock but require the use of modified or aftermarket cylinder heads (Edelbrock RPM), and other engine modifications are recommended such as improved oil system, adjustable roller rockers and high performance pistons with 9.5: 1 compression.  The Performer RPM package parts available include intake manifold, camshaft, carburettor, timing set and cylinder heads.  This camshaft should be used in conjunction with the Performer RPM or Torker 11intakes.  The Performer RPM camshaft when matched with the Performer RPM intake is a great choice for light vehicles with high performance engines, this cam is not for heavy vehicles.  These hydraulic lifter camshafts are dyno matched to Performer RPM intake manifolds for high-rpm horsepower while maintaining acceptable low-end torque.  The idle will be rougher in comparison to the Performer series.  Camshaft is supplied with hydraulic lifters, assembly lube and instructions.  This is a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft – roller camshaft also available EDEL2201.  Designed for street 283-400 Chevrolet V8 (1957-1986).  Advertised duration 308 Int, 318 Exh.  Lift at valve .488 Int, .510 Exh.  Recommended carb EDEL1407 for most applications
