Chevrolet LS to Tremec T56 Magnum Package

 

We have a complete package to put the Tremec T56 Magnum behind Chevrolet LS V8 engines.  Built to handle 700lb/ft of torque this transmission benefits from accommodation for different shifter locations, provision for mechanical and electronic speedometer pick up, reverse lamp and neutral safety switches and a high performance, billet aluminium short throw shifter.  This shifter isolates road noise whilst providing a clean crisp feel together with a unique biasing system, which is adjustable for personal preference.

Known in its O.E. form as the ‘TR-6060’, the Magnum is the aftermarket version of the same transmission found in many of today’s most celebrated factory super cars including the ZR1 Corvette and sinister ACR Viper. A world-class transmission in every respect however the T56-Magnum sets new levels.  The all-new T-56 Magnum double-overdrive 6-speed transmission takes the very best from TREMEC’s current OEM technologies and pairs it with the most popular features of the all-business TKO 5-speed. It is able to withstand a massive 700 lb-ft. of torque while providing unbelievably crisp shifts, no other manual transmission offers as much combined strength, versatility, and general ease of use as the new T-56 Magnum. Ratios are:1st 2.66, 2nd 1.78, 3rd 1.30, 4th 1.00, 5th 0.80, 6th 0.63 Rev 2.90

Our transmission package is complete with all parts to install a manual transmission behind Chevrolet LS V8 engines.  This package assumes the customer has a production LS engine producing up to 450HP for street use.  We use both original GM and McLeod billet flywheels in our packages (168 teeth), an aluminium flywheel is available at additional cost. The package includes an internal slave cylinder for use with most ¾” bore slave cylinders.
