The Ford 302 cu. in. Edelbrock equipped engine, is the choice of customers seeking maximum performance from a street specification Ford 302. A dyno test on this package conducted by Edelbrock on a .030” bored engine produced a peak output of 367HP and 340ft lb of torque! The engine maintains its street driveability, producing a broad, flat torque curve over a wide RPM band. As all Performer RPM packages, the idle will be slightly rough, but it will produce power off idle, making it a good performance engine for light cars. GT40 applications require additional / alternative parts.
Cylinder heads – Edelbrock Performer RPM, aluminium with 2.02” int and 1.60” exh, stainless, swirl polished valves. Heads – part number 6025
Camshaft – Edelbrock Performer RPM cam kit 7122 – with .496” int and .520” exh lift
Timing set – Edelbrock 7811 true rolling
Intake manifold – Edelbrock Performer RPM 7121 high rise dual plane
Carburettor – Edelbrock Performer series 750cfm manual choke
Engine assembly fitted with all parts listed in standard engine, but with the following additions:
* Aluminium roller rockers
* Hardened push rods
* Electronic distributor (MSD box & coil not incl.)
* Eagle I beam con rods with 3/8” ARP rod bolts
* Keith Black pistons
* Chrome air cleaner
* Edelbrock valve covers
* Chrome valve cover breathers
* Performance ignition wire set and spark plugs
* High volume oil pump
* Heavy duty oil pump drive shaft
* ARP or Ultra Seal fixings
Further options are available to enhance to this street specification engine. Some applications may require remote filter mounting kit at additional cost.
This Ford V8 engine is supplied in ‘street’ specification. Please contact us for options on continuous high RPM and racing use.
