High torque gear reduction starter. 100% new with offset design that results in more clearance between the oil pan and starter. Smaller size gives greater clearance from exhausts and starter can also be rotated for additional clearance. The high-torque, high-output motor spins the engine over faster than stock starters, delivering 40-50% more cranking power. Fits Small and Big Block Chevrolet with 153 and 168 tooth flywheels. Note: This starter is straight bolt pattern. Early blocks with staggered only bolt pattern should use alternative starter.
